The most iconic version of the belt, introduced in 1973 and still used today, features a domed, rounded rectangular central plate made of polished gold with a distinctive circular globe at the centre. Above the globe is the inscription “NWA,” and below it reads “World’s Heavyweight Champion.” -
Side Plates:
Four side plates feature flags of different countries (typically the USA, Mexico, Canada, and Japan), symbolizing the championship's global scope. -
Nameplate:
A nameplate sits at the bottom of the center plate, displaying the reigning champion’s name—a practice that began with Harley Race, the first to hold this version. -
Strap:
The belt is mounted on a classic black leather strap, lending it a traditional and authoritative look.
